A YouTube Music Android app like the Google Photos Android app on Chromebooks would be pretty sweet

If the Google Photos Android app on Chrome OS is any indication of Android apps future on Chromebooks I would say things are trending in the right direction. The Google Photos app just about mirrors what's available on the web except for some differences here and there. But the Android app of Google Photos offers offline support and you can even upload as well. Unfortunately, the Youtube Music app is a far cry from the Google Photos on capability and fit and finish. There is no uploading support and the only notable feature compared to the Youtube Music web app is the ability to cast on the Android app. In short, the YouTube Music Android app is an Android tablet that is not bad but is not quite ready for Chrome OS.

Google may have something if they can update the Youtube Music Android app to function as the Google Photos. But don't stop there, add this capability, look and feel to all of your first-party apps and set the standard for developers on the platform. Compose for Desktop is coming soon and should help with bringing desktop-like Android apps to the platform. Exciting times for us Chrome OS/Android fans.

Google Pixel 10 Pro/Pro XL unboxing

Recently I picked up the Pixel 10 Pro for me and the 10 Pro XL for my wife. Unboxing the devices is the same as past years with the phone, booklets and a cable for charging. There was no e sim due to Google removing the sim slot in the US. Where things got a bit interesting is that Google shipped the trade-in box with the new devices. I think this is a genius move and much needed change to simplify the entire purchasing and trade-in process. Setting up both devices was pretty seamless even with the e sim. Speaking of the e sim this may differ depending on the carrier. I use Google Fi and setting up the new phones and moving my number over to the P10P and P10PXL for my wife was effortless. The rest of the set-up was the same as prior years and an overall great experience. I'll use the phone for a week or so and share my thoughts here. Check out the pictures below of me unboxing the devices.
